frequently asked questions

What is kinesiology?

Simply put, kinesiology uses muscle monitoring to access information via your neural networks to identify where things may be out of balance and causing stress within the system, and uses the same feedback system to determine the best techniques to to bring your body back into a state of balance. There are hundreds of techniques, ranging from acupoint stimulation, nutritional changes, specific exercises, postural or habit changes and many many more.

What to expect on your first visit?

After completing your history form, your kinesiologist will go over it with you and discuss what you are looking to achieve from your session.

The session will most often be conducted lying on a massage table, but this can be adapted and done sitting or standing if necessary. The kinesiologist will test various muscles for feedback by placing your limbs in certain positions and applying light pressure in specific directions.

All sessions are strictly confidential and are conducted in a non judgmental, safe and nurturing environment.

What do I wear to a session?

It’s recommended you wear clothing that is comfortable. Kinesiology is a gentle, non invasive modality, and you remain fully clothed for your session. Some people become quite cool while lying still on the table and prefer to wear warm clothes. Blankets are also provided if you find you feel cold too. You will need to remove your shoes and possibly any jewellery that may impede muscle testing.
